Associate Dean
I am a Professor of Pathology, Associate Dean for Health Sciences, and Director of the Clinical Laboratory Science Program. I am also the Principal Investigator of the NCI-funded East Coast AIDS and Cancer Specimen Bank and a Co-Investigator in the NIH-funded Women's Interagency HIV Study. My doctorate is in Microbiology. I have recently been developing a program for capacity building in clinical research.

For over fifteen years at GW, I have been developing creative, scholarly, and practical models of interdisciplinary spiritual care and teaching future clinicians and leaders in healthcare to integrate spirituality fully into their clinical practices. My passion is my clinical work and my teaching. My patients are my teachers and my students are the agents of change for creating better and more compassionate systems of care.
